I booked Corto's for myself and my wedding party to come to my hotel room and get me (the bride) and my bridesmaids ready. Tamera did my hair and make-up, and if this review was for her only I would be giving 5 stars. My hair was perfect and my make-up flawless on my wedding day, and she worked with me a few weeks beforehand to do a trial-run and see what would work best with me. I would completely recommend her to anyone who was interested in hair or make-up and would go back to her again in a heartbeat. Stephanie and Quinn did the hair and make-up for my bridesmaids and they were amazing as well from what I saw, though they didn't do anything with me personally. If I couldn't go back to Tamera I would have no problem going to Stephanie or Quinn. Randi worked with me via e-mail to coordinate everything and it was due to her amazing help that I got the right hair extensions as well! The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 though is because of a consistent lack of communication for a few things - I had stated initially that for myself I wanted air-brush make-up, however at my trial run this hadn't been communicated and I got regular make-up. And then on the day of the wedding even though I had mentioned the air-brush make-up at my trial and paid an extra amount for the air-brush make-up it still didn't happen. It also didn't get communicated that I had wanted lashes applied as well. Luckily for me the regular make-up came out lovely and they happened to have lashes on hand for the wedding day, so it all worked out! Overall I would definitely recommend Corto's and Tamera, Stephanie, and Quinn in particular for hair and make-up. Thank you for making my wedding day a day to remember!
I have never been in a more beautiful salon or spa setting, ever! Everyone who works here is so amazing and talented! The most personable and interesting staff that I have ever worked with, it is impossible to not be completely relaxed and happy when you are here. Hands down, the best place to be. I would live here if I could.
They butchered my cuticles. 8 out of 10 fingers were bleeding and now they are infected. The gel nails I got were not smooth either so I had to apply 5 layers of topcoat to try to even them out. The place was nice and I wish I could give it a better review but a nice place doesn't justify poor work.
I booked Corto's-Hamburg for hair and makeup for my wedding day. Initially, they were kind and responsive. As the wedding came closer it became much more apparent how unorganized and unprofessional this company is. There were multiple missed emails, issues with scheduling, and it was obvious I was just another paycheck for them. On the day of the wedding the specific products and makeup that we planned on using at the trial run was not used and dismissed when asked about. Due to the fact that they over-booked for this day, they arrived significantly earlier than planned and clearly rushed through everyones hair and makeup. They were in such a rush, they did a burn-out when leaving the property. Though the hair was done at a satisfactory level, the makeup was terrible. It looked half completed and because of that, my bridesmaid had to completely re-do my makeup. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and quality provided by Corto's. If you're looking for over-priced, convenient, and low quality, this is the place for you. If you want to look your best on your wedding day, go elsewhere.
I think Corto's is great. I have been getting my haircut there for over five years. Justine is the one who takes care of me and I could not be happier. She does an excellent job cutting my hair and makes sure it is done exactly the way I like it. Justine is also a lot of fun to talk to. No need to go any place else.
